2016 Season Kick-Off! (12s-17s)

We are ready for tryouts for the 2016 season!  A kick-off meeting will be held on Monday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at First United Methodist in the Trinity Center. At the meeting, we will let you know what to expect for the upcoming season!

Things That Are The Same:

Practice days, times, and location – 14s-17s will practice Mondays and Thursdays between 6pm and 8pm at PILC. All season. We will try to mix in a few Tuesdays as schedules allow. 12s Team: due to basketball season, your February practice schedule is in the works.

Commitment expectations – will follow the pattern of last year. We understand that athletes are usually involved in more than one activity and we’ll do our best to accommodate. However, we ask that you please be mindful of the practice schedule when deciding to participate. We can only be so flexible and expect all athletes to attend every practice on time and for its entirety. The same is expected for tournaments. More details on this will be provided at our kick-off meeting.

New This Season:

Most will be registered with JVA and AAU. This will require some athletes to move up a team because of their birthday. Please email us if you have questions about it. (We still may squeeze in an NCR/USAV tournament for some teams, but our weekend play will be in Sioux Falls and beyond). A tentative tournament schedule can be found on the corresponding team page on our website.

Required practice uniforms – Athletes will wear their provided practice shirt or the one they still have from last year (if you don’t have one, we have extra) and dark color shorts to EVERY practice.

More information will be provided at the Kick-Off meeting.

If you still have questions, please email oahevolleyball@gmail.com.
