2017 Club Season (12s-17s)

We are ready for tryouts for the 2017 season!  A kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at First United Methodist in the Trinity Center. Parents and/or players are invited to hear about expectations for the upcoming season! This is not a mandatory meeting, but if you aren’t going to make it, please read this post in it’s entirety so we know you have all of the information.

Players should attend the tryout with their grade and we will adjust as necessary for birth date cut-offs and abilities. We are hoping to have enough players and coaches to make  two 12s teams and then a team for each 13s, 14s, 15s, and 17s. This will depend on tryout numbers, scheduling and staff. This year we are asking players to pre-register for tryouts. There are some age groups which we’re not sure we’ll have enough players, and want to ensure we don’t waste anyone’s time.

Season Information:

Practice days, times, and location

  • February – schedules for our middle school teams are currently in the works for February. Our 17s teams (10th and 11th) will not begin until the high school girls basketball  season has concluded.
  • March through May – Teams  will practice Mondays and Thursdays between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at PILC. All season. We will try to mix in a few Tuesdays as schedules allow.

Commitment expectations – will follow the pattern of the last two year. We understand that athletes are usually involved in more than one activity and we’ll do our best to accommodate. However, we ask that you please be mindful of the practice schedule when deciding to participate. We can only be so flexible and expect all athletes to attend every practice and tournament on time and for its entirety unless otherwise noted on their conflict and commitment contract (found on the tryout pages). More details on this will be provided at our kick-off meeting.

Required practice uniforms – Athletes will wear their provided practice shirt or any other teal shirt from last year (if you don’t have one, we have extra) and dark (navy, black, etc…) color shorts to EVERY practice.

We will continue to be a JVA and NCR combination club to help ensure all teams are playing at the appropriate level. Schedules will be created once teams are selected.
