Coach Decker will begin her fourth season with Oahe Elite Volleyball Club, and is also the club director for the organization. She has always had a passion for the sport and enjoys continuing her volleyball career through teaching young players.
Mackenzie (Osadchuk) Decker comes to us from St. Paul, Minnesota, where she had a standout career at Eastview High School and played club volleyball for 7 years, qualifying for Open Nationals in Dallas with the M1 18-1s team in 2004. Mackenzie added four years of collegiate volleyball at South Dakota State University (SDSU) where she was a member of the first team in the state of South Dakota to compete in any NCAA Division I Tournament. As a Jackrabbit, Mackenzie worked her way from a walk-on depth player to a key starting player in her senior year. She also added coaching experience with camps, clinics, and three seasons of club volleyball in Brookings.
Coach ‘Mac’ Decker is excited to tack on her eighth year as a club coach and third year as a club director in the 2017 season. She has made some decisive improvements to the club scene in Pierre. 2017 is marks the largest the club has ever been, adding staff and teams to a maximum. She has also spearheaded the addition of Oahe Volleyball’s Fall League for youth players, continuing to look for ways to make the club volleyball experience better for players, coaches, and parents.
